Chewing Gum Removal from Streets and Pavements

Street Smart can offer chewing gum removal, or gum removal and street washing as part of a complete Street Cleansing Package, which includes supply of equipment, consumables & manpower.

We use a high temperature, low pressure steam system which not only removes the gum but also the oily stain that can remain after traditional high pressure systems have been employed. As the system is low pressure there is no evident “overspray” which presents no inconvenience to the public or businesses and does not damage the paved area or grouting.

This equipment uses only 5 litres of water per hour in comparison to high pressure equipment which can use up to 1200 litres per hour.

Due to the technologies we utilise, we are able to operate during normal hours with minimal disruption to public and businesses.

We are able to offer our services for a complete clean up or a regular maintenance regime to maintain cleanliness standards.

Street Cleaning

We use the Aquazura Vacuum Scrubber Drier which is unique in the fact that it combines three technologies: brushing, washing & suction. The most appropriate solution for cleaning areas with high density pedestrian traffic. The Aquazura uses minimal water & detergent dispensed to 5 rotating scrubbing brushes which effectively remove grime & detritus from paved areas whilst NOT damaging the surfaces or damaging the grouting between pavers & blockwork.

In addition, the Street Scrubber collects the foul water & debris & holds it in a self contained hopper for removal from site. This means that not only is the cleaned area left almost dry & safe for pubilc traffic to use immediately, but also the areas & shops around the cleaned site are not “oversprayed” with dirty water & debris. The recovered water can also be recycled poviding enhanced water economy.
